ขั้นตอนง่าย ๆ ในการเดินทางกลับประเทศไทยสำหรับคนไทยในสหราชอาณาจักรและไอร์แลนด์
ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 เมษายน 2564 เป็นต้นไป
1. บัตรโดยสารเครื่องบินและการเตรียมการกักตัว
(ทางเลือกที่ 1) ประสงค์กักตัวในสถานที่ที่ทางการไทยจัดให้ โดยไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย(State Quarantine: SQ)
- ไม่ต้องสำรองล่วงหน้า และไม่สามารถเลือกโรงแรมได้เอง
- จะต้องซื้อบัตรโดยสารเครื่องบินของสายการบินไทยเท่านั้น โดยซื้อได้ทางเว็บไซต์ https://www.thaiairways.com/ ในเส้นทางกรุงลอนดอน-กรุงเทพฯ (บินทุกวันอาทิตย์โดย TG911) หรือหากมีบัตรโดยสารเครื่องบินเดิมหรือ Voucher กรุณาส่งอีเมลไปที่ Thaiticketing@thaiairways.co.uk
(ทางเลือกที่ 2) เลือกกักตัวในโรงแรมทางเลือก (Alternative State Quarantine: ASQ)
- เสียค่าใช้จ่ายเอง สามารถตรวจสอบโรงแรม ASQ ที่ผ่านการประเมินจากเว็บไซต์ ศูนย์ปฏิบัติการฉุกเฉินโควิด-19 ที่ http://www.hsscovid.com/ และสำรอง ASQ Package กับโรงแรมได้เองโดยตรง หรือผ่านเว็บไซต์ที่ได้รับอนุญาต ได้แก่
- ซื้อบัตรโดยสารเครื่องบินได้ด้วยตนเองจากทุกสายการบิน รวมทั้งสายการบินไทย ทางเว็บไซต์ของสายการบินนั้น ๆ หรือตัวแทน
2. มาตรการกักตัวของประเทศไทย
- ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 เมษายน 2564 เป็นต้นไป ผู้ที่เดินทางกลับจากสหราชอาณาจักรและไอร์แลนด์จะต้องเข้ารับการกักตัวเป็นเวลาไม่น้อยกว่า 10 วัน
- ผู้เดินทางที่มีเอกสารรับรองการฉีดวัคซีนครบถ้วนแล้ว อาจได้รับการพิจารณาลดจำนวนวันกักตัวเป็นเวลาไม่น้อยกว่า 7 วัน โดยมีเงื่อนไขว่าวัคซีนที่ได้รับนั้นจะต้องได้รับการรับรองจากองค์การอนามัยโลก (WHO) หรือกระทรวงสาธารณสุขไทยเท่านั้น* และฉีดวัคซีนครบถ้วนแล้วไม่น้อยกว่า 14 วันก่อนวันเดินทาง โดยผู้เดินทางจะต้องแสดงหลักฐานการฉีดวัคซีนต่อเจ้าพนักงานควบคุมโรคติดต่อ ณ ด่านควบคุมโรคติดต่อระหว่างประเทศที่สนามบินสุวรรณภูมิ ซึ่งมีอำนาจเด็ดขาดในการตัดสินว่าจะต้องกักตัวเป็นเวลาไม่น้อยกว่า 7 หรือ 10 วัน (สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงลอนดอน ไม่มีอำนาจตัดสินใจแต่อย่างใด)
* สถานะ ณ วันที่ 1 เมษายน 2564 วัคซีนที่กระทรวงสาธารณสุขไทยให้การรับรอง ได้แก่

3. ขอหนังสือรับรองเพื่อกลับประเทศไทย
- ผ่านระบบออนไลน์ช่องทางเดียวที่ https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/
- กรอกข้อมูลบุคคลและรายละเอียดการติดต่อ โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงลอนดอนจะตรวจสอบข้อมูลและอนุมัติขั้นตอนแรก ภายใน 1-3 วันทำการ
- ขอให้ตรวจสอบข้อมูลและอีเมลให้ถูกต้อง ระบบจะมีอีเมลแจ้งสถานะและขั้นตอนถัดไป ตลอดจนขั้นตอนได้รับอนุมัติหนังสือรับรอง ขอให้อ่านรายละเอียดในอีเมลให้ครบถ้วน
- เมื่อได้รับการอนุมัติในขั้นตอนแรก ขอให้กลับเข้าระบบลงทะเบียนเพื่อกรอกรายละเอียดและอัพโหลดบัตรโดยสารเครื่องบิน รวมทั้งหลักฐานการสำรองโรงแรมสำหรับผู้ที่เลือกพักแบบ ASQ หรือผู้ที่ไม่ได้เดินทางโดยสายการบินไทย โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงลอนดอน จะตรวจสอบข้อมูลและอนุมัติขั้นตอนที่สองภายใน 1-3 วันทำการ
- เมื่อได้รับการอนุมัติแล้ว จะมีอีเมลแจ้งให้ดาวน์โหลด ขอให้พิมพ์หนังสือรับรองออกมา เพื่อยื่นต่อเคาน์เตอร์เช็คอินที่สนามบิน
4. ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 เมษายน 2564 คนไทยไม่ต้องตรวจ Fit to Fly แล้ว
- โปรดตรวจสอบกับสายการบินที่ท่านจะเดินทางว่ามีข้อกำหนดอื่นใดเป็นการเฉพาะหรือไม่ เช่น ผลตรวจ COVID-19 เป็นลบ (ไม่มีเชื้อไวรัส) มิฉะนั้น ท่านอาจจะถูกปฏิเสธการขึ้นเครื่อง
- โดยที่ยังมีการแพร่ระบาดของเชื้อไวรัส COVID-19 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงลอนดอน ขอแนะนำให้ท่านตรวจ COVID-19 ก่อนเดินทาง เพื่อลดความเสี่ยงในการรับหรือแพร่เชื้อระหว่างการเดินทาง และรับผิดชอบต่อเพื่อนร่วมทาง รวมทั้งป้องกันการนำเชื้อ COVID-19 จากต่างประเทศเข้าไปในประเทศไทยซึ่งอาจส่งผลให้รัฐบาลไทยกำหนดมาตรการเข้มงวดที่จะเป็นอุปสรรคของคนไทยในการกลับเข้าประเทศอีกครั้ง และเพื่อไม่นำเชื้อไปแพร่ให้แก่ครอบครัวและคนที่คุณรักในประเทศไทย ด้วยความห่วงใยจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงลอนดอน

Requirements for foreigners travelling to Thailand during COVID-19 travel restriction (until 30 September 2021)
Certificate of Entry (COE)
**Holders of British/Irish passports, as well as 54 other nationalities entitled to 30-day visa exemption, can go to Thailand for tourism purpose for up to 45 days without visa. Proof of air tickets that the applicant will not overstay and health insurance are required for COE application.**
**Please check the travel measures announced by the UK/Irish governments before you plan your trip to Thailand.**
All non-Thai passengers from the UK and Ireland will be subject to not less than 11-night quarantine (effective from 1 April 2021) at their own expenses at one of the facilities for Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) that have been approved by the Thai authorities.
For those, who have completed their COVID-19 vaccination for at least 14 days before departure to Thailand, will be considered to reduce the number of quarantine days to 7-night quarantine. The Embassy recommends applicants to book the 10-night quarantine package and, once the 7-night quarantine has been approved, to request for a refund from the hotel. (ASQ hotels have been informed by the central authorities to refund if customers' vaccinations has been approved for a "7-night quarantine".) So please contact your ASQ hotel directly. A certified proof of vaccination shall be uploaded when registering for the Certificate of Entry (COE). The document shall have the number of doses being vaccinated, dates of vaccination, type and batch number of vaccine, and check if the vaccine being vaccinated has been approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand. The list of vaccines approved by both authories (as of April, 2021) as follows:

(Remarks: If any family member traveling together has not been vaccinated, all family members will be subject for a 10-night quarantine. For example, parents, that have been vaccinated, traveling with a child, that has not been vaccinated, all family members will be subject for a 10-night quarantine.)

Categories of visitors and requirements
General requirements to go to Thailand
1. Valid visa or re-entry permit, except visitors under the 45-day visa exemption scheme
2. The Certificate of Entry
3. COVID-19 test result with a laboratory result indicating that COVID -19 is not detected (COVID test must be by RT-PCR method), issued within 72 hours before departure -- Some airlines do not accept home kit tests so please check specific requirements with the airlines you are travelling with. From 1 April 2021, Fit to Fly health certificate will no longer be required to go to Thailand. Other things remain the same.
4. Copy of insurance policy which covers COVID and no less than 100,000 USD – please print the insurance certificate and all pages of the terms and conditions on the COVID coverage and medical benefits (some people were refused to board the flight because they could not show that their insurance meet this requirement)
5. Copy of confirmed ASQ hotel booking (or AHQ and permission from the Ministry of Public Health in case of medical treatment)

Additional requirements for certain types of visitors
For tourism purposes (more than 45 days)
Tourists can apply for single entry tourist visa (single entry only for stay up to 60 days) and special tourist visa (for stay up to 90 days) at www.thaievisa.go.th. Currently, the multiple entry tourist visa (6 months) are currently suspended and the Embassy is not allowed to issue it.
Required documents :
Tourist visa (single entry) : for stay up to 60 days with possible one-time extension of 30 days)
- Your passport copy
- Travel booking confirmation
- Proof of accommodation in Thailand e.g. hotel booking, invitation letter from family or friend in Thailand (All tourists are subject to 15-day quarantined at ASQ hotels at their own expenses.)
- UK/Irish bank statements with sufficient fund to cover your trip to Thailand
- Confirmation of legal residence in the UK or Ireland (if applicants are not nationals of these countries) e.g. long stay visa, residence permit, BRP card
- Copy of health insurance policy which covers COVID-19 related medical expenses in Thailand no less than 100,000 USD for the whole period of your stay in Thailand
For convenience, applicants for tourist visa can also apply for visa at the Royal Thai Consulates.
Special Tourist Visa (STV) : for stay up to 90 days with possible extension of 90 days twice)
**STV cannot be extended after 30 September 2021. Please DO NOT apply for STV after 30 June 2021 and applicants must travel before 1 July 2021 if they wish to stay for 90 days.**
- Your passport copy which must have validity at least 12 months with at least 3 blank pages
- Travel booking confirmation
- Proof of accommodation in Thailand for (1) ASQ hotel booking for 15-day quarantine with proof of payment, and (2) confirmed hotel booking/accommodation rental for the remaining period of your stay in Thailand, with proof of payment; or copy of condominium ownership or purchase agreement of condominium with proof of payment
- UK/Irish bank statements with sufficient fund to cover your trip to Thailand
- Confirmation of legal residence in the UK or Ireland (if applicants are not nationals of these countries) e.g. long stay visa, residence permit, BRP card
- Copy of health insurance policy which covers medical expenses in Thailand for outpatient not less than 40,000 Baht and for inpatient not less than 400,000 Baht, and COVID-19 related medical expenses no less than 100,000 USD for the whole period of your stay in Thailand -- Please check < http://longstay.tgia.org> for more information regarding the insurance requirement.
If a STV applicant wishes his/her spouse and children below 20 years old to apply for STV visa, the spouse and children have to submit proof of relationship and required documents in (1), (2), (4), (5) and (6).
**Requirements for tourist visa is subject to change due to updated travel measures by the Thai goverment in an effort to control COVID-19 pandemic.**

Visitors who wish to visit Thailand for other purposes than tourism and need to apply for the Certificate of Entry must have valid non-immigrant visa or re-entry permit.

Required documents for the Certificate of Entry (apart from visa or re-entry permit) :
1. For work (diplomats and officials of international organisations, work permit holders or those with permission to work in Thailand including volunteer work, and their family members (spouse and children below 20 years old, with proof of relationship (marriage certificate / birth certificate))
- Note verbale from respective embassies and international organisation; or
- Copy of work permit, or WP3, or employment letter
2. For short term stay (foreigners who are going for a business trip in Thailand)
- Copy of invitation letter to attend business meeting in Thailand from a Thai government agency or a Thai company which must have registered capital (fully paid) at least 2 million baht (with registration document as proof)
- Copy of letter from your employer (or yourself if you own a company) to confirm your employment and that you need to attend business meetings in Thailand
- Copy of bank statement of a UK/Irish bank account with deposit at least 500,000 baht (approx. £12,800) for the past 6 months
3. For family : spouse and children of Thai nationals
- Copy of marriage certificate and Thai ID or Thai passport of your spouse; or
- Copy of birth certificate and Thai passport of your child
4. For medical treatment (medical tourist visa MT or non-immigrant O)
- Letter from a hospital in the UK that you have a life-threating conditions and cannot be treated here, and require medical treatment in Thailand, as well as medical record for referral
- Letter from the hospital in Thailand that they would accept you to be an in-patient, and the arrangement for transfer from the airport to the hospital
- Permission letter from the Ministry of Public Health for you and your family members (click to see example here)
5. For education (only formal education) and training (arranged by government agencies, state enterprises or international organisations)
- Copy of enrolment letter or acceptance letter
- Copy of birth certificate and the student's passport (if accompanied by parents)
6. For holders of Certificate of Residence and their family members
- Copy of Certificate of Residence and Non-Quota Immigrant visa
- Proof of relationship of family members (spouse and children below 20)
7. For long-stay retirement visa holders (Non-Immigrant O/O-A/O-X) for people over 50 years old
- Copy of health insurance policy which covers medical treatment in Thailand (non-COVID-19 diseases) for outpatient not less than 40,000 Baht and inpatient not less than 400,000 Baht for the whole period of your stay in Thailand
- Copy of health insurance that covers COVID-19 related medical expenses, both inpatient and outpatient, no less than 100,000 USD for the whole period of your stay in Thailand
8. For non-Thai who own property in Thailand (non-Immigrant B)
- Copy of property ownership document (condominium) in Thailand, or proof of purchase of such property and relevant documents
- Copy of bank statements of a Thai bank account with deposit at least 3 million baht (approx. £77,000), or Thai government bonds at least 3 million baht
- Copy of bank statement of a UK/Irish bank account with deposit at least 500,000 baht (approx. £12,800) for the past 6 months
9. APEC Card holders
- Copy of APEC Card with the letter "THA" at the back of the card
10. Thailand Privilege (Elite) Card holders
- Copy of Elite visa
- Copy of confirmation letter for the TEMQ programme
11. Sport tournaments
- Copy of letter from event organisers or relevant Thai authorities
12. Transit passengers
- Passengers transiting to other destinations outside of Thailand can transit only at Suvarnabhumi International Airport for no more than 12 hours. Their flights must be checked through as they will not be allowed outside of the transit areas to get their luggage for re check-in. The COE is not required but they must have (1) Medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected (done by RT-PCR technique and issued no more than 72 hours before travelling) and (2) travel health insurance (worldwide or including Thailand) covering health care and treatment expenses for COVID-19 disease, or any other guarantee throughout their stay in the Kingdom, with a coverage of no less than 100,000 USD. - Transit passengers who need to stop over in Bangkok must have the COE and other requirements in the same way as tourists.
- Passengers arriving in Bangkok must complete their mandatory quarantine in Bangkok before they can transit to other domestic destinations.
