วิธีเปลี่ยน active เป็น Passive voice ง่ายๆ โดยไม่ต้องจำ

การเปลี่ยน Active voice และ Passive voice ว่ามีประโยชน์อย่างไร และควรใช้ในสถานการณ์ใดบ้างไปแล้ว วันนี้เราจะพามาเรียนรู้วิธีการเปลี่ยนจาก Active voice เป็น Passive voice เพื่อช่วยให้การเขียนและวิธีสื่อสารของคุณนั้นมีประโยชน์มากขึ้น

วิธีเปลี่ยน Active voice เป็น Passive voice

1) Present simple tense

รูปแบบประโยค

S + V. to be + V3

ตัวอย่างการเปลี่ยน Active voice เป็น Passive voice

Active voice: I make a cake.

Passive voice: A cake is made.

2) Present continuous

รูปแบบประโยค

S+ is, am, are + being + V3

ตัวอย่างการเปลี่ยน Active voice เป็น Passive voice

Active voice: I'm making a cake.

Passive voice: A cake is being made.

3) Past simple

รูปแบบประโยค

S+was , were + V3

Active voice: I made a cake.

Passive voice: A cake was made.

4) Past continuous

รูปแบบประโยค

S+was , were + being + V3

Passive voice: A cake was being made.

5) Present perfect

S+has, have + been + V3

6) Past perfect

รูปแบบประโยค

S+ had + been + V3

7) Future simple

รูปแบบประโยค

S+ will + be + V3

8) Future continuous

S+will be + being + V3

Passive voice: A cake is going to be made.

9) Modal verb

รูปแบบประโยค

S+model verb+be+V3

Active voice: I must make a cake.

Passive voice: A  cake must be made.

10) Modal perfect

รูปแบบประโยค

S+model verb+has/have+been+V3

Active voice: I should have made a cake.

Passive voice: A cake should have been made.

ทั้ง 10 รูปแบบการเปลี่ยน Active voice เป็น Passive voice นั้นเป็นแบบที่ใช้กันหลักๆ อยู่เป็นประจำ แต่ในความเป็นจริงถ้าจะให้ตรงตามหลักไวยากรณ์แล้วนั้น จะมีอีก 2 tenses ที่ไม่ได้นำมากล่าวในนี้เนื่องจากในยุคปัจจุบันไม่ค่อยได้ถูกนำมาใช้ในรูปแบบของ Passive voice กันแล้วนั่นเอง

Passive Voice with Different Tenses

Active voice 

~> describes a sentence where the subject performs the action stated by the verb.

pattern : S + V (depends on the tenses) + O

Passive voice

~> in passive voice sentences, the subject is acted upon by the verb.

patter : S + be + past participle + (by agent)

Transitive Verb

~> a sentence with a verb is followed by an object. (direct and indirect object)

~> a transitive verb can take more than one object

example :

1. Lila sings a song (direct object)
2. Katty takes  her new skirt in the cupboard (indirect object)

Intransitive Verb

~> a sentence with a verb is not followed by an object. (complement and prepositional phrase)

example :

1. I walk along the beach. (along as prep)
2. We are thinking about grammar lesson now. (about as prep)

Pattern of Active and Passive voice for all tenses

The example of active and passive voice for some tenses :

• SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

Active : Joe drives the car everyday

Passive : The car is driven by Joe everyday

Active : They sell books

Passive : Books are sold by them

Active : He writes a letter

Passive : A letter is written by him

• SIMPLE PAST TENSE

Active : She decorated the walls

Passive : The walls were decorated by her

Active : He did not buy a car

Passive : A car was not bought by him

Active : I helped them

Passive : They were helped by me

• PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE

Active : They are eating apples

Passive : Apples are being eaten by them

Active : You are disturbing me

Passive : I am being disturbed by you

Active : We are buying some pens

Passive : Pens are being bought by us

• PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE

Active : Boys were singing a songs

Passive : Songs were being sung by boys

Active : Henny was washing a shirt

Passive : A shirt was being washed by Henny

Active : Was she cleaning a fork?

Passive : Was a fork being cleaned by her?

• PRESENT PERFECT TENSE

Active : I have made some cakes

Passive : Some cakes have been made by me

Active : Purry have written five poems

Passive : Five poems have been written by Purry

Active : He has not completed the work

Passive : The work has not been completed by him

• PAST PERFECT TENSE

Active : They had won the game

Passive : The game had been won by them

Active : Bruce had collected coins

Passive : Coins had been collected by him

Active : We had bought some vegetables

Passive : Some vegetables had been bought by us

• MODAL AUXILIARY

Active : He can drive a car

Passive : A car can be driven by him

Active : She must learn this book

Passive : This book must be learnt by her

Active : Casey may eat an apple

Passive : An apple may be eaten by Casey
